Mike Eng joined the PACE Board of Directors in 2020, bringing expertise in Government Policy, Higher Education, Community Development, Law, and Social Justice. Mike currently serves on the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board.  In 2013 he was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles Community College District  where he served as Board Vice President. He  previously served 6 years as a California Assemblyman, and Mayor and Councilman for the City of Monterey Park.  

Mr.  Eng has taught at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, UCLA, and California State University, Los Angeles.  He earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Hawaii and his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.  He resides in the San Gabriel Valley with his wife, Congresswoman Judy Chu.
