Early Childhood Education

PACE Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a comprehensive preschool and family service program. PACE ECE currently serves more than 1,900 children and families in the South Bay, Greater Los Angeles, East Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley; and operates out of 28 school centers. PACE ECE strives to provide quality services to not just the children in the program, but the whole family.

This is accomplished through our many specialized service areas: Mental Health, Disabilities, Nutrition, Health, Family Services, Education and Parent/Community Involvement. Each service area is headed by a specialist and/or coordinator who educates staff and parents on their area, and provides resources and referrals when needed. The PACE ECE Program as dictated by Head Start Performance Standards is governed by the parents, and every year a new Policy Committee is trained and seated to provide overall governance of the program. The program focuses on empowering and educating parents to be advocates for their children and their community through trainings. With several decades of experience implementing a quality Head Start Program as a delegate agency of the Los Angeles County Office of Education, PACE ECE continues to meet the needs of the staff, children, parents and community through education and empowerment.
