PACE Diversity & Democracy: America's Strength Delegation

 
Fulfilling the “Diversity and Democracy:  America’s Strength” project that was initiated in August, 2011 with a national award by Southwest Airlines, PACE staff and clients visited Washington, DC from May 6 – 10 to “Tell their stories” to Federal policy makers and agency staff.  Coinciding with Asian Pacific Islander Heritage month, the group also had the opportunity to meet with leaders from national organizations and non profit organizations like PACE from throughout the United States.

PACE Recognizes Asian Pacific Islander Small Business

 

The Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE) hosted its 5th annual Lunar New Year Asian Entrepreneurial Spirit Celebration & Awards Luncheon on January 27, 2010 at the New Seafood Capitol Restaurant. The event honored five Asian small business owners, recognized their accomplishments and acknowledged the importance of Asian small, micro and SOHO (small office/home office) business owners to the Los Angeles economy. Namoch Sokhom, Director of the Business Development Center, presented the awardees and Assemblymember Mike Eng made an inspiring key note address.

PACE Celebrates 35th Anniversary at Awards Dinner & Gala

PACE was excited to host our 35th Anniversary Awards Dinner & Gala on May 19th, 2011, where more than 500 community leaders, business representatives, local, state and national elected officials were in attendance. Congresswoman Judy Chu was our keynote speaker for the evening with the renown media reporter Susan Hirasuna as our Master of Ceremonies.
