PACE has been selected as 1 of 21 statewide service providers to provide weatherization services under the California Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Community Services and Development (CSD) Department Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP). This program offers installation of weatherization and renewable energy measures in low-income homes located within disadvantaged communities. LIWP has 3 goals:

3)     Reduce the energy bills of the low-income households served.

For over 30 years, PACE has provided free installation of measures to promote energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and lower energy bills all while improving the health and safety of the low income population. Our current service area under CSD’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) includes 26 zip codes. Typical work may include minor home repair, combustion appliance safety test, repair/replacement of gas appliances and installation of air infiltration reduction and electric base load measures. PACE has provided weatherization and energy reduction measures in more than 285,000 homes in the Los Angeles region. Cumulatively, these measures have resulted in more the $2 billion in energy savings for low income residents of the area.
